Checked here, read the prior comments, and got ready for my campfest. Flew from stranglethorn, landed just over the border to the left in duskwood, turned my game music off and my game sounds up. Got him on my ally hunter one day and my horde hunter just today. What I did was sat in the bush in front of the outhouse and had my tracking on for Beast and Stealth.
I heard him before he showed up on my mini map and started attacking me since he scales , so I just hit Tame and got him. He doesn't hit hard, so he is an easy tame.

I was able to get my tame and now have this pet with me. I will say, Lightning Paw is pretty large but I love it. Mind you, I am doing this for my fiance. Moments prior I had an Alliance hunter come by and shoot me a friend request, just to tell me that they had seen the Horde hunter tame the fox.
I'm grateful that there are so many hunters willing to help each other out. EVEN when they're on the opposite faction. For those of you who have killed this beauty or any other hunter pet rares, such as Skoll with no care in the world for others and their goals, you should be ashamed of yourselves, and I genuinely hope that all of your dreams get crushed.

Make sure your sound is on, when you pass one of his spawn points and he is there he makes the rogue stealth noise. He hides in the bushes in the spawn points. I didn't physically see him till I used a flare on the area to reveal him. Update: I was feeling lucky, so I logged in with an alt, and tamed him again at the graveyard at AM server time.

Also, he is neutral and not hostile so expect his icon to show yellow, surrounded by the silver rare dragon. Tonight I decided I was going to try at least once so I headed on down to Duskwood. I entered the way points into TomTom, but some kept disappearing for reasons unbeknownst to me, so I simply took a few laps around each spawn point as best as I could remember.
To my utmost surprise, I heard the stealth sound and there was Lightning Paw at the 30,41 spawn point. This beauty has made me a very happy hunter. Got him on Tamed him at am. I found this spirit beast in the Comment by Whild I've tamed Lightning Paw twice now on my Void Elf hunter, and both times the tame spell stops suddenly, Lightning Paw disappears, and the "Spirit Beast" pet is placed in a pet slot -- but the pet can't be summoned.
You can move the pet to a stable, and back into a slot, and it still won't be summoned. I can tame any other hunter pet without a problem, but I now have two Lightning Paws in my stable that can't be summoned.

I went up to the 24,39 coords, and there he was. I did this on Mok'Nathal about 10 minutes ago. My suggestion is go to the nearest tree by the cemitary if your trying to get him, he may be there but you have to be close to either the tree or the bush and i would definitely have sound on because you'll hear him before you see him.
Comment by 4ldaris 1. Bind macro under scroll wheel 4. Use server hop every lap Took 5 minutes, found I was on my hunter for about an hour in Dusk wood hoping to find this guy. Going from spot to spot just hoping he would be there. At one point the horde just raided Dark shire, with a 5 man group.
So then about 10 people that were questing and my self defended Dark shire. Once we would clear them, I would check out the spots again. At some point, I swapped to my Warrior so I could drop a healing priest.
After about a half hour of fighting with a group that had a healer and tank with my own group, I go check out the spots on my warrior. I tell them "I'll be right back, gonna check the hunter spots. Again nothing. I log out on top the paw and get on my hunter. I then go to the spot and Extremely angry I continue down the path I was going, the fourth spot nothing I get to the most southern point So guys don't give up if Lightning Paw de-spawns like it did for me. I found him in another spot with in a minute of finding him on my warrior.
Go check the other spots and you may be as lucky as I was. Hope you all luck! Much love to all those hunters getting them spirit beasts. He was by the outhouse bushes. First time I saw this mob, so I wasn't aware it's just a hunter pet. It did drop something which at the time of writing isn't listed so I'll put a heads up here for others in future. Drops Crystalline Tear of Loyalty. It's not worth much to a veteran player, but the 25g is a lot to a new player, so that probably explains why some jelous hunters might kill it if they miss the tame.
This item seems to be dropped by a number of other pets out there, but an important note is, this is ALL they drop, so since it's a sought after hunter pet, maybe offer up the location co-ords to a hunter in need for the equivalent amount. Coordinates were If you're having trouble getting him, my recommendation would be to just afk inside of one of his spawn bushes and check back every ten minutes. When I actually found him, he was not hostile and was completely hidden in the bush, except for the yellow "entity" ring. If you're doing this method, it's probably best to try for the spawns further away from populated areas. Both the road and cemetery spawns are pretty close to questing areas, so you're more likely to get Lightning Paw killed while you afk, since it doesn't go invisible while you're on it.

I first tried earlier in the day around pm or pm. I don't remember. Someone mentioned that a horde character found him at around 5pm if I remember correctly, could've been 4pm and told all the hunters to pack your things up There were a lot of us. There was one other horde hunter searching but he soon gave up. Soon after I would find him at Gotta say i'm pretty happy right now! I thought it would take me much longer to find.

I figured I was out several hours till I could check again. Before hearthing off to do other things, as a last-ditch effort, I decided to go turn on War Mode. Went back, and found Lightning Paw immediately at the Sure, it's a small risk of disappointment if you happen to get killed likely by another hunter searching for him , but it's still technically a separate phase with a its own spawn timer, and could potentially save you some time.
Found in the bush just next to the main road south of Raven Hill one of the spawn points on the map above. Target macro found it before NPS Scan did. He will make the stealthing noise the one rogues make when they go into stealth. I put a tar trap and a freezing trap in between me and him, then used a concussive shot and began to tame. I found him at Funny thing that I noticed but I didn't read in any comments here the ones I read at least is that she sometimes dispawns and spawns again in another bush.
First of all when I went to Duskwood trying to find her I spent like 40 min searching all the bushes with those glowing eyes on it, I searched every single one more than once many times, then when I was about losing my hope to find her I asked my boyfriend to help me out, and he found her straight a way when I arrive to that point to catch her she disapeared this happen on the cords Well this was my funny story hahah.

Was flying above the tree tops spamming the target macro. Nothing, so I landed near 24,40, and watched some paladin killing a mob near the bush. Next thing NPCscan alert pops up, and so I spam the macro, and its in the bush right there!
Can't believe my luck. But then the paladin aggroes it somehow, and it chases off after him! So i spam tame on it until eventually I gain aggro and tamed it.
That was close. Still as I say, my easiest tame yet. Spent less than 10 mins in Duskwood. It was grey to me at , so it scales to 60 with the rest of Duskwood. Comment by foxyareku If you're having trouble finding it, try going to the zone in war mode.

I circled first around the area by Raven Hill, still in Warmode and I found him near the outhouse at 16, I hope this helps, now that we have Warmode if you are searching for him try picking a less active hour you know people are on if you play in a populated server and try switching to that.
On Hydraxis we get the occasional Horde who likes to attack Darkshire, but that's about it and it was pretty quiet when I was looking in WM. So good luck and hope this helps others!
