Why is imageshack so slow

Flickr, tinypic hell even imgur are crap for a lot of stuff. Flickr's just rubbish full stop, I'm amazed anybody uses it, slow to load, can't view proper resolution pictures and it's got all sorts of other crap.

What I love about imageshack right now is the auto-resize option. I can upload the photos in full res, then link a shrunk version. It also means the page doesn't spend a year resizing everything people who have logs with massive pictures annoy the hell out of me, I just ignore them as I can't view them properly.
